Calpersresponds installs countertops for property owners and managers across Asheville, North Carolina and Buncombe County. Short term rentals, long term units, flips going back on the market, and second homes that sit empty for months at a stretch.

We started taking this work because owners kept telling us the same thing: the countertop was never the hard part, the scheduling was. A crew that shows up when it suits them is fine if you live in the house. It is a genuine cost if the unit is off the booking calendar while you wait.

What We Do Differently

• Build the schedule backward from your date. Tell us when the unit has to be earning again and we fabricate to hit it.
• Spec for the actual user. A guest is not an owner. We choose surfaces that survive people who did not pay for them.
• Quote per unit. Numbers that go straight into a pro forma, with batched pricing across a portfolio.
• Favor materials we can match later. Quartz and laminate stay consistent for years, so one ruined run does not become a whole kitchen.

Working With Managers

Plenty of our clients are not in North Carolina. We coordinate access, keys, and timing directly with property managers and cleaning companies so an owner in another state is not relaying messages between two contractors. We just need to know at the start who can approve a change order.

The Asheville Calendar

Vacation rental demand here runs hardest through the summer and leaf season, which makes the sensible renovation windows narrow and fairly predictable. Long term units in West Asheville and around the River Arts District turn on their own schedule. We plan around whichever one you are actually working to, and we would rather tell you a date is tight than promise it and miss.
